Subject: Who/What is Carpenter?

Carpenter started as a spectre in Wraith (first discussed in the Shadowplayer's Guide). He returned to the land of the living (in someone else's corpse -- post Ends of Empire) and spilled tidbits of information about his kind to hunters (Walking Dead) for his own reasons. His backstory and recent pursuits were covered in a short story in Inherit the Earth and in the Year of the Scarab trilogy. That ended with him thrust back into the underworld as a spirit again -- well, until one of the tickers mentioned something about a grave in a Chicago graveyard being all smashed up.
